The story of the 'Tone

Biography

echotone began in a room, in Essex. Two old friends called Lee and James, armed with acoustic guitars, met up to jam and eventually began to write songs together. They looked upon what they had created, and found it good.

echotone developed in other rooms - generally rooms in buildings where alcohol was being served. After their first gig, playing at a friend's birthday party, the 'Tone (for such were they known) played a wide range of venues like the Queen's Theatre in Hornchurch and the TMF Festival in Orset, supporting acts like Duvet, Birdlane, and The 80's Matchbox B-Line Disaster.

echotone grew - two became four. Melanie added keyboards and beatific vocals and Paul added percussion and beat-trific beats to get even the most jaded of feet shuffling. The 'Tone are now becoming
heard and talked about in Essex and London. Three part harmonies, catchy melodies and killer tunes are their stock in trade. They may be playing somewhere near you soon - keep an ear out for their electic blend of folk and rock...frock, if you like.
